Volunteer with us!

Community members who are interested in contributing their time and skills to support O’Hara in one, or more, of our four strategic areas; Assets, People, Marketing and Revenue Generation are encouraged to join our team.

Together, we work in the spirit of continuous improvement in the direction of growth and prosperity.

Without our wonderful volunteers, O'Hara would not exist as it is today. There would be no Mill Pond. The Saw Mill and Carpenter Shop would lie collapsed in ruins to be washed away by the passing creek. There would be no music rolling through the woods on a hot summer's day, no cast iron school bell for children to ring, no fireplace around which to enjoy one another's company on a cold December evening, and no trails to wander in hopes to glimpse an otter.

We strongly believe that all of these experiences are worth being involved with and our community is stronger because of them. If you do too, we would love for you to consider how you can contribute to, and enjoy the rewards of, volunteering at O'Hara.

Perhaps you have skills in any of the following:
- organizational leadership
- writing and literacy
- retail experience
- construction, with a knowledge of period style and methodologies
- experience in heritage crafting or skills
- gardening and landscaping
- fundraising experience
- training in handling of artifacts
- research skills
- advertising and promotions

Maybe you simply have a desire to dress up in costume, engage and play!
Our volunteer team will find the perfect position for you and your talents.
