The Original Noise Cancelers

WHAT IS IT WEDNESDAY/ AUGUST 19TH, 2020

Ever wondered how people didn’t get annoyed by horses going through town in the early morning? Well today our artifact is the answer to this question! They would use rubber horseshoes!

Rubber horseshoes allowed horses to travel across cobblestone roads in the early mornings without making the loud clip-clop that we know so well from horses.

One of the major uses of this innovation was for milk delivery. Milk would be delivered to doorsteps early in the morning well before most people were up! Rubber horseshoes worked to cancel out and minimize the sound allowing the town to hold on to those last much needed minutes of sleep!
