April Showers Bring May Flowers

2020 has been a trying time to say the least. With many changes to our day to day lives, the one constant through all of the uncertainty has been Nature, and that has brought us, and many of our visitors, great comfort.

No matter what is thrown our way, we can count on the seasons changing and Mother Nature providing us with beautiful spaces filled with fresh air, shades of green and sounds of the forest. Maybe it’s because we are looking for the good in today’s world, or maybe it’s because we’ve been cooped up too long, but this year’s Spring flowers seem more vibrant and lovely than ever.

Here’s a look at what’s in bloom at O’Hara, and we’re sure there are more on the way.

Time spent outdoors is good for both your mental and physical health. We encourage you to take time, whether here at O’Hara Mill Homestead or elsewhere, to step into nature, explore, breathe deeply and bask in Nature’s scents and sounds. If you come across a beautiful bloom on your adventure at O’Hara Mill, be sure to snap a picture and share it with us on Facebook or Instagram.

We are happy to be open to the public, offering our community a safe green space to escape to. We are also very thankful to our visitors for respecting social distancing protocols and other safety requests we have put in place, and ask that you continue to do so. Thanks to Mark Leahy and Doris Bush, O’Hara Volunteers, for the photos.
